Below you will find the different types of vehicles we can create, this isn't an exhaustive list but these are the most common.
We also work on all makes and models of vehicle and have even done car based conversions.
If you've got a project in mind, just get in touch and we can start the conversation today!
No 2 people use their campers in exactly the same way so we don't think they should all have exactly the same layout!
Our interiors are all made to the highest standard and this enables us to tweak and change designs or even go for something completely new.
We go through your plans for camping, who's going, how long you're likely to go and how often and from there, we start to build the whole thing around you.
Cupboards, drawers, cubby holes, intelligent storage, chests, slide-outs and more. We can help design and build the perfect van for you and your family.
Once we know who's going, where (campsites, off-grid or a mixture), how often and for how long, we can start to look at your electrical requirements.
We start with a power audit to get the raw numbers and go from there. We can add in 12v, 240v, inverted, solar or wind power and by doing this we make sure you don't miss out on something you need (or worse; pay for something you don't).
Getting the right electrical system can make or break a trip and running out of power is never any fun, off milk and warm beer isn't our idea of a holiday so working through it like this is the best way to make sure everyone is happy.
There's loads you can do to a 'basic' camper to add in a few more comforts and we'll talk you through all the options during the design process. These can include;
Hot and cold running water
Easy-to-use cassette toilets
Showers
Heating
Air conditioning
3g, 4g, 5g and even satellite internet
Television
Games consoles
Voice activation (such as Alexa or Google Assistant)
Bluetooth music systems
Thermostatic ventilation
Cooking appliances
Much, much more...
We start with a dedicated garage area in the rear of the vehicle. This is sealed off from the main living space and designed to fit your needs perfectly.
Once we've built and sealed the garage from the rest of the van, the first thing to do is create a safe mounting space for the vehicle (if the vehicle is to be kept inside).
We make sure there is adequate lighting, power and sockets around the area to make working in there as easy as possible.
We then move onto storage, this can be slide out storage for tools, making sure everything is easy to get to. Large item storage such as gazebos, tool chests, stands etc. Fuel storage that is sealed off and build to withstand knocks and bangs without risking spillage. We work around everything that needs to come with you on race day and make sure it's safe and secure.
If required, we can also look at additional security; locking drawers, boxes, alarms and even CCTV!
If you need a race van building or modifying then get in touch and we'll start the process with you.
Traditionally race vans had a 'rough and ready' living space but we don't think that should be the case!
We build the living space in exactly the same way as we would any other camper, the main difference is that we usually seal the bottoms of units to the floor and sometimes use harder wearing materials as water, dirt and mud are much more common so it helps preserve the interior for a much longer period of time.
We can also incorporate space for a drying room and/or 'boot wash' to make life a bit easier. We can also do waterproof storage areas to keep the muddy gear away from the rest of the living space.
We provide the 'normal' ply lining service for work vans but can also go a step further to make the space as efficient as possible.
Tool storage often gets overlooked and it's not uncommon for tools to live in buckets or boxes sliding round in the back of the van. We can build custom shelving or sliding tool storage, this is both more efficient and helps prevent damage to your tools.
Parts storage is also often buckets or boxes and means searching through piles of parts to find what you need. This makes it difficult to stay on top of stock but also wastes time. We offer custom storage bins, shelving, racking and draws to make sure everything stays where it's meant to.
We can also fit roof racks, ladders and storage tubes. Get in touch to find out more!
We're seeing more and more dog/pet related businesses using vans for transport and the layout is often an afterthought.
We start by lining the van with hard wearing materials and sealing up all of the edges to make it easy to wipe down (or even jet wash) and keep clean and hygienic.
Next we consider ventilation; roof vents, opening windows, door grates, fans and even air conditioning can all be used to make sure the van remains a safe and comfortable for the animals.
Lighting can be added to part or all of the rear, keeping it well lit so you can see what's going on. We can also offer auxiliary power so there's no risk of not being able to start the van due to a flat battery. Auxiliary heating is also an option if the van is left for longer periods in the winter.
We'll then build in the required cages to house your fury friends!
